Join us in Helena, MT, and work where you play! We are a growing private practice of 4 physicians and 1 NP, with another physician starting in 2025 when she finishes residency. We are looking to hire a BC/BE Ob/Gyn within the next year.

Helena and the surrounding area has a population of 60k with amazing access to outdoor activities. There are 5 lakes and local skiing, Great Divide Ski Area, about 30 minutes away. We are about 2 hours from Big Sky. There are 70+ miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Montana is known for its world class fly fishing, ice fishing, and bird and big game hunting. Our idea of traffic is waiting for 4 cars at a roundabout. For example, one of our physicians lives 7.6 miles from the hospital, and her commute is 12 minutes.

We average 600-700 deliveries per year. We take equal home call at 1 hospital, St. Peter’s Health, that is a 2 minute walk from our office. We back up the hospital’s FPOBs and are compensated by the hospital for covering them and taking unassigned OB and ED call. We offer a competitive salary with additional compensation for call, 401k with employer match plus profit sharing, a comprehensive benefits package, and paid vacation and holidays.

We operate at SPH, where there is a da Vinci Xi robot available, and do minors at an attached surgery center. The surgery center is surgeon-owned within the community and an excellent investment opportunity. Our physicians average 60 hysterectomies per year and operate about 1 day per week.

Office hours are typically 8-4:30 with an average of 22-25 patients per day. We have strict and even OB and Gyn slots in order to keep the patient panel balanced. LEEP and colposcopy are available in-office. We also have 3 ultrasonographers in-office with contracts with MFM and radiology to read scans, if preferred. We each have our own comfort level with what we are willing and able to read.

MFM and Gyn Onc have outreach clinics in our office multiple times per month. We operate with Gyn Onc when they are here. REI and UroGyn are about an hour and a half away.

We have a great relationship with the hospital. We are a tight-knit community and big fish in a little pond. All of us are involved in some way in surgical and Ob/Gyn department leadership positions, surgery center leadership, peer review, and physician credentialing.
