Job Description
The Platform Associate is responsible for supporting the athenahealth Electronic Health Record (athenaClinicals) and Practice Management (athenaCollector) applications for Privia Medical Group clinicians. The Platform Associate works closely with the CIT IKS team, EHR Specialists, end-users, and the Privia team to understand functional business requirements, resolve EHR issues, and configure, customize & maintain athena content to support these needs.
Primary Job Duties:
- Second-level issue management support
- Troubleshoot and correct issues
- Document, track, and take appropriate actions to close or escalate athenaOne incident-related issues in a timely manner
- Assist with testing and troubleshooting all aspects of athenaOne
- Be an escalation resource for Tier 1 support
- Provide remote support to assist w/ EHR issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the software applications
- Help onboard Clinical IT members
- Train Care Center and Privia Staff on athenaOne Functionality
- Assist in the building out & maintenance of Privia’s athenaOne platform
- Routine QA of work
- Configure provider setup of Electronic Prescriptions for Controlled Substances (EPCS)
- Support EPCS office hours
- Support data collection related to system configuration
- Document, track and take appropriate actions to close or escalate athenaNet incident related issues in a timely manner
- Assist with testing and troubleshooting all aspects of athenaNet
- Maintain up-to-date documentation
- Maintains confidentiality and complies with (HIPAA)
- Help facilitate the Clinical IT relationship with other Privia teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Preferred one or more years of:
- Clinical and/or managed care experience or
- EHR support
- Ticket management and support
- 1+ years of experience in a professional environment
- Knowledgeable about extended medical terminology
- Experience with data collection and document management
- SQL and HTML knowledge
- Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
The salary range for this role is $56,000-$70,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 10% and restricted stock units. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.

In order to successfully work remotely, supporting our patients and providers, we require a minimum of 5 MBPS for Download Speed and 3 MBPS for the Upload Speed. This should be acquired prior to the start of your employment. The best measure of your internet speed is to use online speed tests like https://www.speedtest.net/. This gives you an update as to how fast data transfer is with your internet connection and if it meets the minimum speed requirements. Work with your internet provider if you have questions about your connection. Employees who regularly work from home offices are eligible for expense reimbursement to offset this cost.
