Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Presales Expert at our Pittsburgh, PA location to be responsible for highly complex or visible pre-sales and/or post-sales support of company products/systems.

Expectations and Tasks:

Provides advanced-level technical support to complex sales presentations and product demonstrations. Provides answers to customer or internal SAP team inquiries concerning advanced solution topics focusing on driving customer success and business outcomes. Provides software development and consultation to prospective customers. Supports regional and offshore Solution Experience teams to build demos based upon customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping. Participates in demo system design, planning and spec-out configuration requirements. Participates in new product release input, testing and training of peers. Established thought leader of the VAT and fine tunes account strategy. Guides team in creation of overall theme and competitive differentiation (value wedges). Executes vigorous dry runs on strategic deals and customer engagements. Effectively transitions engagement to implementation partner/Field Services. Shares knowledge with the greater PreSales community through Solution Hubs or other enterprise social media where collaboration takes place. Has knowledge of multiple Industries and can provide Industry specific solutions insights and perspective to customers. Contributes to the Solution HUB supporting the HUB leader on developing and sharing best practices.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field and 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 5 years in the following:

• Design customer specific software with Ariba Procurement and SAP Business Technology Platforms, including Workzone, utilizing administrator level configuration;
• Procurement and Accounts Payable software sales, consulting, or professional practitioner;
• Excel based modeling and forecasting;
• Consult with current and prospective customers and document system requirements utilizing Microsoft Suite of products; and
• Data Warehouse Management.

Travel: 30% domestic travel to various and unanticipated client sites nationwide. Telecommuting permitted.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $167,024 - $187,980. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $201,500- $297,900. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
