Your future team

You will be part of a world-class Business Intelligence team that transforms data into actionable insights about our customers and business. The Business Intelligence team partners with Operations, Product, Data Science, Data Engineering and Executive leadership to investigate areas of need and reshape data into useful metrics, intuitive data stories and strategic insights that maximize decision-making impact. They combine mastery of the business, surgical requirements definition, expertise in data modeling, intuitive data visualizations and powerful storytelling to elevate the business.

In this role, you will:

• Advise the business through strategic, data-driven recommendations and actionable insights
• Define org-wide strategy and standards for data visualization design, architecture and automation
• Decompose large datasets into useful trends, gap analyses and business opportunities
• Master business workflows, gather requirements, define business metrics and measure impact
• Build scalable reporting and intuitive self-serve analytics data products while driving broad adoption
• Build automated data quality and reconciliation tools to drive data governance needs
• Partner with data engineers and data scientists to build scalable data architecture, data models and advanced machine learning for BI use-cases

Minimum Qualifications / Your background:

• 8+ Years of Experience in Business Analytics, Product Analytics or Business Intelligence Engineering
• Proficiency in SQL or another data manipulation programming language (e.g Python, R)
• Expertise at telling stories with data and familiarity with at least one visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, R-Shiny, Microstrategy, SAP Business Objects, Looker, etc.)
• Experience in business/product workflow mapping with requirements gathering
• Experience building and implementing automated BI workloads in a production environment
• Ability to craft analysis into well-written and persuasive content

Desirable Qualifications

• Proficiency in programmatic BI (Streamlit, Plotly, Dash, etc)
• Experience in applying statistical concepts (e.g. regressions, A/B tests, clustering, probability) to business problems
• Experience presenting to executive-level leadership teams
• 10+ Years of Experience in Business Analytics or related fields OR 8+ Years of experience in Business Analytics along with a post-graduate degree or equivalent in a related field
• An understanding of the SaaS customer support business model

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and explainable compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is determined by a candidate's's experience.

In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $149,000 - $198,700

Zone B: $134,000 - $178,800

Zone C: $123,700 - $164,900

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
