Principal Solutions Architect

The Principal Solutions Architect will be responsible for leading client engagements, designing enterprise architecture solutions, and overseeing the technical relationship between our clients and the development team. You will have strong experience in pre-sales support, managing successful client engagements, data modeling, schema design, systems architecture, and web application development in a cloud-first environment.

General Responsibilities:

• Expected to have a significant impact within the immediate department, driving innovation and leading strategic initiatives.
• Invents efficient solutions to problems with no known resolutions, designs and implements frameworks, processes and tools to address complex challenges.
• Able to invent automation, processes, or align work to industry best practices or revolutionary ideas, influencing the overall direction of the organization, shaping organizational strategy.
• Invents and/or leads implementation of product, process, automation and/or streamlines work with industry best practices or revolutionary ideas, contributing to measurable improvements at the department level.
• Enables and unblocks new business strategies through the development of innovative processes.
• Mentors all team members, actively participates in the hiring process, leads business improvements, and plays a key role in performance management.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with clients to understand their business needs and design solutions that meet those requirements.
• Develop high-level architecture designs and present them to technical decision makers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure the technical feasibility of solutions.
• Manage the technical relationship with clients, acting as the primary technical point of contact.
• Define and document data schema designs and models.
• Write code to develop and implement technical solutions.
• Develop and implement best practices for technical delivery, such as coding standards, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and work with the development team to deliver solutions.
• Support pre-sales in conjunction with our strategy and business development teams.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development, cloud platforms, and data schema design.
• Mentors all team members, actively participates in the hiring process, leads business improvements, and plays a key role in performance management.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of development experience within multiple languages such as Python, Scala, R, or SQL.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical client-facing role.
• Experience using frameworks such as FastAPI and Cloud Development Kits.
• Expertise in data schema design and modeling.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience managing client relationships.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.
• Experience supporting pre-sales efforts for enterprise-level clients, highly preferred.
• This position will require domestic and international travel.
