Product Designer

We're looking for a passionate Product Designer to join the Securitize team to help us improve the product by seeking design solutions through new features and who is passionate about new technologies such as blockchain or crypto. In addition to wanting to deal with complex cases, proposing workflow improvements, being in love with order in the design system and be able to work with multiple teams.
What will you do:

• Hands-on production of low and high-fidelity mockups, information architectures, and visual designs
• Develop and champion the design process and tactics to implement the shared company vision
• Collaborate with PM, engineering and other designers to deliver great user experiences
• Work strategically with other team members across the organization.
• You will collect - in a structured way - feedback from users, clients, developers, colleagues and the rest of the actors who interact with the product.
• Disrupting an industry means having little to none references sometimes. You will not fear leading the exploration of uncharted territories for taking things from techie to grandpa-proof.
• Work with data to improve the product and validate product implementations
• Maintain the Design System library and add new components if needed
• Design consistently with what has already been implemented
• Work remotely with the possibility of working from our offices in the center of Madrid (It is preferred that the candidate lives in Spain)

What will you need:

• At least 2 years of working as a Product Designer.
• Portfolio: we will not assess applications without a portfolio or links to demonstrable work
• Strong knowledge of design tools, especially Figma
• Working with Design systems and libraries and being able to collaborate by maintaining and adding components
• Knowledge and experience with research and testing techniques.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Interest in sharing knowledge with the Design team.
• Experience in multi-device web design, responsive, web and app design.
• Able to build and explain interactive prototypes (low-fi / hi-fi)
• Have the ability both to be autonomous and defend your work and to collaborate with the rest of the product designers.
• Ability to tackle large and complex projects, with organizational capacity and meeting deadlines.
• Accessibility knowledge (font, colours, etc.)
• Ready to share your work to stakeholders and defend interests.
• Active giving and receiving honest actionable feedback and ready to work on it.
• Build use cases / scenarios / flows together with the PM
• Think conceptually and strategically
• Strong work ethic and time management skills
• Ability to work in the fast-changing environment of a start-up
• Ability to work with an internationally diverse and distributed team.
• High level of English writing and speaking skills.

How you will grow:After 1 Week

• You will be overwhelmed after hearing a lot of new terms, but that's Ok. Just keep asking questions.
• You will be shadowing a more seasoned PD that will kindly answer all your questions and provide you with material and sources for learning.

After 1 Month

• You will now have interiorized the company vision and our product from a user perspective.
• You will have met most colleagues whom you will be interacting most with on a daily basis.
• You will have assisted all the team ceremonies for a sprint: dailies, planning, retro, refinement.
• You will have participated in inception and design sessions with product designers and review and planning of new features with tech leads and product managers.
• You will have noticed that you have not retained almost anything XD but you will have enough to be able to start some product design on your own.

After 3 months

• You will be fluent with user tracking and activity dashboard analysis.
• You will be able to propose new approaches to features and their evolution.
• You will be creating new components on the DS
• You will be working with your own team

After 6 months

• You will investigate other companies and products for capturing different strategies and opportunities.
• You will partner with other team leads for developing solutions that will require coordination between teams.
• You will identify new needs and features into your domain.

After 1 year

• You will be comfortable with decision making in all the product processes.
• You may propose new product lines or initiatives inside the product team.

Bonus Points

• Experience with financial services.
• Experience designing experiences for crypto/blockchain products, like Web3 apps or wallet management experiences.
• Experience in designing web dashboards.
