Granicus are looking for a UX Designer or Product Designer who loves simplifying complexity and smoothing digital interactions by researching, testing and iterating ideas and designs. Someone great with users, stakeholders and teammates, who wants to grow their skills, and delights in achieving great results.Â

- Improving the usability of our government services softwareÂ
- Creating seamless and enjoyable experiences by understanding user needs, behavior, and motivationsÂ
- Collaborating with Product teams (QA, project managers, product owners, and development) to understand problems, identify scope, and achieve solutionsÂ
- Joining our team culture and helping us continually improve and flourishÂ
- Contributing to and refining our design systems with enhanced components and joyful interactionsÂ
- Spreading user-centered practices by being a passionate advocate, and a helpful, thoughtful, knowledgeable and diplomatic colleagueÂ
- Delivering research and design updates throughout the UX life cycle with the ability to clearly articulate the rationale behind design decisions and facilitate decision-making by stakeholdersÂ

- Four or more years of user experience design in softwareÂ
- Two or more years of experience in planning and conducting user research, including user testing, interviews and user workshopsÂ
- A love of combining elements of psychology, design, technology, and business into creative and strategic solutions and approachesÂ
- Proven experience working with a team to iterate and implement projectsÂ
- Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to dev-readyÂ
- A strong foundation in usability and accessibilityÂ
- A knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScriptÂ
- An understanding of design systems, UI components, UX patterns, and responsive designÂ
- Excellent Figma, Miro/Mural skillsÂ
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy – in thinking and executionÂ
- Excellent communication abilities, effectively summarizing results to create compelling cases for choices throughout user-centred designÂ
- A creative approach to problem-solving and aptitude for analyzing constraints and strategizing for better solutionsÂ
This position will have a 6-month probation period.Â
This role is subject to a background check.Â
This role may require domestic and international travel from time to time.Â
Shortlisted applicants will showcase a portfolio of their previous work and demonstrate their knowledge and capabilities.Â
Candidates should attend interviews prepared to do a design walk-through and task as part of the interview process.Â
