Product Development Engineer

We're looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our team!

Job Responsibilities:

• Work on new development of new products and revisions to existing product line through all phases of product lifecycle, including concept, design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch.
• Collaborate closely with marketing and product management stakeholders to assess feasibility of product designs.
• Work with project managers to help define product roadmap and project timelines.
• Develop and test product prototypes in conjunction with the internal product team and external hardware design partners.
• Aid supply chain team in managing BOM cost and complexity; identify components and suppliers to help achieve cost and quality targets.
• Collaborate with quality management team to identify and mitigate issues affecting products in the field.
• Manage engineering changes initiated by external vendors; document and issue CAPA reports where applicable.
• Assess and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• BS or better in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Five years of experience in a product development role, preferably in a consumer products industry.
• Familiarity with all PDLC stages.
• Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile.
• Familiarity with process and quality management methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, and similar is a plus.
• Experience working with IoT devices is a plus.
• Experience with packaging and distribution of liquid products is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and accommodate rapid change.
