SteelSeries is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Product Management group, serving as the category lead for our gaming mice portfolio! As a product management leader, you will draw upon your understanding of gamers' needs, analyze the competitive landscape, conduct market research, and follow the latest trends in technology to ensure that our product lines are awesome, authentic, innovative and solve a real need for gamers. This position reports to the Head of Category Management in the Products and Services group.Â

We are looking for someone who:
- Has demonstrated experience shipping multiple consumer electronics products to market – from concept to launch, full ownership and responsibility of the product management lifecycle. Can be any products in the consumer electronics space – not just gaming mice.
- Is passionate about gaming and the consumer electronics space.
- Can craft and manage full portfolio roadmaps.
- Has the ability to lead cross functional teams as it relates to your own projects.
- Is inquisitive in nature. We need someone who isn’t afraid to ask questions and voice their opinions.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- 5+ years of experience in the field of product management, preferably in consumer electronics, content creation, and/or gaming with demonstrated experience developing and launching multiple products.
- A deep knowledge and passion for the gaming and consumer space
- A degree in an Engineering Discipline, Industrial Design, Marketing or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience bringing multiple products to market and being involved in the go to market strategies
- Highly motivated and goal-orientated individual that is able to work independently
- Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
- Growth mindset: With enthusiasm to be curious, learn and grow as you continue to develop your craft and find new ways to be awesome
WITHIN 1 MONTH YOU WILL:
- Delve into understanding the target consumers, conduct research, and identify pain points that can be addressed.
- You will learn the process of developing products at SteelSeries and have a develop an understanding of how to engage in cross-functional communications and teams.
- You will hit the ground running by picking up on bringing some existing planned products currently in development and into market: it’ll be the best way to learn and impact the business immediately
WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL:
- Begin to start proposing ideas and solutions that identify gamer needs and start preparing concepts to review as part of filling out the roadmap. You will be engaging directly with the product development heads to flesh out your ideas into detailed product concepts.
WITHIN 9 MONTHS YOU WILL:
- Have a product roadmap signed off by senior management and be actively engaged in developing these products and planning to bring them to market.
