Job Overview

As the second in command to the Implementation Director, you will have a high level of print production experience, particularly on corporate projects, and a background working within a creative agency environment.

You will have a solid understanding of production processes and techniques, the creative process and artwork. Able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to check over artwork. An appreciation for creativity, ideas, design, and typography is a plus. An energetic, strong, and robust character is needed to establish and maintain artwork standards, best working practices and promote the agency's core values and behaviours.

You will also need to be approachable and confident as you will be a trusted advisor to the studio and broader project teams.

General Skills

• Fluent in the use of relevant design and office software - Adobe Creative Suite, Office, etc., with an expert level command of Adobe Indesign
• Expert level knowledge of color as it pertains to visual design systems containing both on-screen and print executions across a variety of print processes and materials
• Sound technical knowledge and attention to detail across creative and production
• Ability to develop and execute design systems across a variety of corporate touch points and brand guidelines
• Capable of working under own initiative and solve problems as they arise
• Strong time and project management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Confident, with a customer first mindset
• Problem solver who takes accountability and ownership of projects
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management
• Adaptable with good problem-solving skills

Responsibilities 

• Creation of comprehensive brand guideline documents and template deliverables across various client touchpoints including social media, environmental, brochures, stationary suites, etc.
• Assess project and resource requirements in collaboration with the R.P.D. & Resource Manager
• Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing timescales with account teams
• Monitoring creative and production, and adjusting resource plans as needed
• Hold daily/weekly meetings to ensure all teams members are informed
• Question and challenge briefs where appropriate to achieve better results
• Ensure that briefs are accurate and communicated clearly
• Support the account management team to produce detailed technical briefs for production
• Arrange artwork sign off meetings (if necessary)
• Partner with the account and studio teams to identify and resolve project issues swiftly
• Ensure critical path deadlines are maintained
• Overseeing production process are adhered to
• Proactively monitor the quality, accuracy, and consistency of the artwork studio
