About the team

We are looking for a Program Finance Director to join our DG RTD team of the Next Business in Brussels, Belgium. This is a permanent position, reporting directly within the Next Business, based in Brussels. The Program Finance Director will partner and work closely with the different senior stakeholders of our ICF NEXT public communications business. ICF Next is a leading integrated communication agency in Europe, specializing in large-scale communication activities across the European Union.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the DG RTD €168M Framework Contract.

Interact daily with the DG RTD Framework Management Team, as well as weekly with Client, working with both the commercial and operational teams with a focus on optimising the financial performance of this Framework. This will include:

 

  • Developing, tracking and presenting all key financial metrics (both internally and with the client) on a month basis, including service request status, activations, delivery dashboards, maximising GR/SR revenues, gross profit optimisation, subcontractor and partner negotiations, employee utilisation and recruitment plans

  • Developing all financial offers/pricing and tracking/forecasting/planning financial performance.

  • Detailing resource needs (internal/external) to help driving SR and utilisation.

  • Working with Project Financial Controllers and Administrative support to ensure financial accuracy

  • Providing financial information, reports and analysis to both Next and Business Management functions on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Overseeing cash management and invoicing (through leveraging with project Financial Controllers)

  • Work on any ad-hoc requests and analysis.

 

Basic Requirements:

University degree with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in financial management with a focus on FP&A.

Operational and/or project experience with planning, budgeting & forecasting, and/or reporting & analytics.

Deep understanding of core financial processes, especially on revenue & margin recognition processes.

Familiarity with (amongst others) transactional/analytical accounting, pricing & costing, management, and financial reporting.

Familiarity with events and communication business preferred

Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written skills. This is key to being able to engage, influence, and partner with the ICF Next E&A management team.

Fluent in English.
