Job Description Summary

The Project Designer's role is to be the main point of contact for their assigned design projects and responsible for completing a prelim and spec design, implementing design standards, hitting minimum timelines, documentation and follow ups. AutoCAD and Revit skills required.

Job Description

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the account related to design alongside an second design manager.
• Implement process documents that align with workplace strategy and client business needs.
• Manage the new project design emails folder by opening new projects in Reflex and assigning to designers
• Deliver client workplace model standards; recommends new standards and looks for continued improvements to the client workplace design
• Create test fits and suggests workplace improvements in response to client business needs
• Provide proposals to maximize space efficiencies while implementing solutions in-line with corporate real estate goals
• Collaborate with Project Executives, Project Management, Transaction Managers, Signage Coordinators, Designers and other CRE team members.
• Communicate with Project Management and Space Planning for CAD needs and update drawings accordingly
• Review and confirm all prelim and specification designs the team completes, follow the clients standards and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and meet all public health, safety, and applicable code requirements
• Organize all designs documents and space solutions into presentation format for client delivery
• Establish selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and millwork, including layout drawings and detailed product description to facilitate pricing for procurement and installation of furniture
• Interface with Client to develop new workplace design options, finalize project concepts and prepare final documents for client approval
• Provide reporting on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completion
• Update and manage Reflex schedules for yourself and team members
• Understand the clients and what drives the clients business
• Train and develop design talent for assigned account(s)

• There will be additional projects and documentation that will come up to be a more efficient team.
• Be active with suggestions about how to be a more positive and productive team.
• When one person on the team is out, it is expected to jump in and fill in as needed.
