Overview
Leverage your consulting and project management expertise to win opportunities and deliver high-quality technical consulting engagements for Esri customers. In this role, you will lead teams through all business development and implementation phases, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment. By collaborating closely with industry experts across the company, you will play a pivotal role in enabling customer success.Â
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:Â
- Engaging with key stakeholders on opportunity development, proposal development, and project execution while managing expectationsÂ
- Implementing project scope through the coordination of professional services subject matter experts, and our customersÂ
- Managing project teams comprised of consultants and technical staff dedicated to supporting customers and their mission-critical systems and applicationsÂ
Responsibilities
- Manage complex technology projects and programs: Coordinate with Esri consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring customer success. Oversee scope, schedule, and budget to deliver meaningful solutions to customers and strategic partners.Â
- Engage with our customers:  Work with customers to understand the value of location within their workflows by creating outstanding proposals and winning work with strategic customers.Â
- Develop and grow business: Support business development by defining project and proposal strategies that further technology and implementation patterns with new and existing customers. Collaborate with Esri’s practice managers and marketing and sales teams to develop new business and actively shape the future of the Delivery Department through your work on cutting-edge projects.Â
- Be a thought leader: Advise customers regarding innovative solutions using Esri technology and content to drive better decision-making. Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions and work with customers to prepare implementation and migration strategies.Â
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in managing IT-based and/or GIS projectsÂ
- Capacity to clearly communicate complex ideas, whether to technical peers, non-technical peers, or customersÂ
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and translate a customer’s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutionsÂ
- Be a self-motivated, creative, team-oriented, and proactive problem solverÂ
- Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skillsÂ
- Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learnÂ
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environmentÂ
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the timeÂ
- Bachelor’s in geography, computer science, GIS, or a related fieldÂ
Recommended Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in GIS project managementÂ
- Knowledge of and experience with technical solutions and implementations and/or robust application development principles and practicesÂ
- Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technologyÂ
- Experience with current technology implementation patterns, including service-oriented and cloud-computing architectureÂ
- Relevant industry experience in commercial natural resources (oil and gas, renewables, pipeline, mining, agriculture, and forestry), airports, or state and local governmentÂ
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Â
- Master’s in geography, computer science, GIS, or a related field

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$74,880—$150,280 USD
