Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Manager for its North American Hub Engineering Team. This role is reporting to the Hub Engineering Management and will lead the execution of medium to large size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environmental requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. Initially, the primary responsibility for this role will be to lead a multi-year effort to re-brand our engineering, marketing, and operational documentation, and products for the NAM Hub.
Work Option: Candidates must work onsite at 1 of two locations; Earth City, MO (St. Louis) or Raleigh, NC. Hybrid option will be available (2-3 days per week in the office, 2-3 days work from home).
Responsibilities
- Lead the project team, define main guidelines, allocate project tasks, and motivate and monitor internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.
- Define, jointly with the Quality, Engineering and Marketing departments, all project plan documents, including scope, schedule, and risk management plans
- Act as key contact for the factories and functional teams and an escalation point for project issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders
- Provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects
- Achieve project deliverables and in compliance with requirements.
- Manage all aspects of the project to per agreed-upon Global requirements and ensure all technical, safety, quality and financial targets are met.
- Support Supply Chain Management in supplier changes, claims, and adjustments when necessary
- Monitor and control each stage of project implementation to ensure best practices in scope control, cost control, resource efficiency, risk management, health and safety, and the environment.
- Coordinate project so that all changes are done in unison with locations across our Hub
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) or more years of relevant experience as a Project Manager
- Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven capability to coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams
- PMP certification (preferred)
- Strong knowledge and experience in SAP, MS Project, MS Excel, and other PM tools
