POSITION SUMMARY
Organize, coordinate, and execute the launch of new / updated Global Supply Management (GSM) systems and tools aligned with the systems roadmap. Responsible to ensure internal customer requirements for launch timing and budget are met. Act as the change management lead for the systems. This position reports to the GSM Systems & Tools Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as system project owner, accountable for the execution and success of the system/tool launch. Maintain program charter, timing plan, and other program metrics.
- Develops and validates program scope along with project deliverables and ensures that expectations for quality, timing, and system performance are met.
- Identifies and manages assigned project resources to minimize total system launch costs (IT development, capital investment, launch costs, contract provisions),
- Conducts & leads frequent team meetings, supports global review meetings, and generates frequent program report updates.
- Helps the team reach consensus when necessary and makes decisions as required. Knows when to make decision independently and when to ask for guidance and input.
- Alerts the leadership team of program risks that are beyond the scope of the program team in an appropriate time frame; continuously identifies risk factors and seeks to mitigate adverse impact. Addresses roadblocks through the appropriate functional manager.
- Collaborate with Global Strength and Local Accountability supply chain teams to improve global insights, data collection, reporting and analytics within our operating model.
- Support cross functional project team(s) aimed at assessing various data efficiency solution alternatives including but not limited to: eRFQ & Sourcing, Contract Management, Business Analytics, Supplier Master & Master Data Management, eAPQP, Supply Chain Financing, and Spend Analytics. Support the business case development.
- Support the benchmarking of efficient and cost-effective data management systems and processes and, in conjunction with the global organization, develop and implement best practices.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years related experience in a position in the areas of Supply Chain, IT, or Program Management in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of relevant experience as a project or program manager is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and intuition for business to drive conclusions based on data.
- Proficient at coordinating and managing projects (i.e. project timelines, cost tracking, etc.).
- Proven success in showing strong organizational, interpersonal and communicational skills in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and locations and with all employee and management levels.
- Ability to manage several tasks and shifting priorities concurrently to meet timelines.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.
- Familiarity with SAP Front End, MS SharePoint, database tools, and analytics tools a plus.
