Job Description
Projects Specialist/Purchasing Agent | Tulsa, OK
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Compensation- $50K + DOE
SUMMARY: The Projects Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the PFD purchasing department, establishing buyer goals based on inventory needs and sales projections.
Demonstrates appropriate behavior in the workplace according to PEI's employee handbook and complies with applicable health, safety and environmental regulations.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and materials.
- Maintain and compile purchase orders and purchasing reports
- Create cost variance and price reports
- Analyze, identify, and communicate information regarding purchase orders
- Identify, investigate, and resolve purchase related issues
- Responsible for daily follow up of requisitions to ensure quotes are ready on time for submission to estimators
- Issue quotes directly to customers
- Works as a liaison between customers and project estimating team members
- Assist with I&E and Facilities procurement
- Assist greeting outside visitors when needed
- Assist with office and first aid supply procurement when needed

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Must be alert and have good manual dexterity
- Must possess good decision making attributes regarding Quality
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to influence others positively
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player
- Qualifications include good customer service skills, computer and typing skills, as well as understanding
- purchasing processes and inventory databases.
- Experience in sourcing, PO, and vendor relations
- Knowledge of product and service purchasing policies and practices
- Must be extremely organized and very detail oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED Required. Associate's Degree a plus
- 5+ years' experience in the procurement of materials/equipment/supplies and the development and
- review of contracts preferred
