What You’ll Do
As a QA Analyst you will have a pivotal role within the software development and testing process, by upholding the quality and dependability of Tekmetric's software applications, products, and services. Collaborating closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, the QA Analyst will strive to ensure the delivery high-quality software products to our customers..
You will be responsible for:
- Test Planning & Design:
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and design documents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and functional specifications.
- Manual & API Test Execution
- Execute manual tests to identify defects, usability issues, and inconsistencies in software functionality.
- Execute & Perform API Testing
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Defect Identification & Prioritization:
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects using a structured approach, including clear steps to reproduce.
- Collaborate with development teams to assist in defect resolution and verify fixes.
- Quality Assurance Assurance Processes
- Participate in quality assurance process improvements, including the adoption of best practices and the implementation of testing tools.
- Identify areas of risk in software projects and propose mitigation strategies.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of test cases, test execution results, and defect reports.
- Contribute to the development of user documentation and training materials.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
- Clearly communicate testing status, progress, and any obstacles to the team.
- Continuous Learning
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, testing methodologies, and best practices to enhance your QA skills and knowledge.
What You’ll Bring
- 1-2 years of experience as a QA Analyst or Customer Success/Support facing role
- Experience troubleshooting production issues
- Experience reporting defects to development teams
- Experience with Atlassian product suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Nice to have but no required
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. Including: Black-box testing, Testing oracles & Heuristics, Exploratory Testing & Regression Testing
- Experience with test management tools (X-ray, Zephyr, TestRail)
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
