QA Automation Engineer

You will work with automation engineers and development teams to analyze requirements and manual test cases for InMoment's platform, design and develop automation tests and to validate functionality. You will have the freedom to experiment with state of the art technologies and be empowered to introduce methodologies and technologies to improve test automation on distributed systems. You will be an integral member of the InMoment software development team and play a vital role to our continued success.

WHO YOU ARE

  • BS in engineering, computer science or other related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience automating tests
  • Experience with BDD / TDD (Gherkin, Cucumber)
  • Experience Automating Web Applications using Selenium WebDriver, Typescript, API's.
  • Experience with continuous Integration & Build Tools - Bamboo, Jenkins or similar
  • Experience using SQL for test setup and validation
  • Programming Languages, Object Oriented Concepts
  • Strategic, analytical, and innovative thinking to address all aspects of custom software testing
  • Understanding of Testing life cycle in CI/CD , Test Design methodologies, Test Execution, and Defect Tracking
  • Excellent communication across all functions to gather input on tooling needs, provide feedback and input on code
  • Problem solving aptitude
  • Adaptable to competing demands and be accountable
  • Risk Management for sprint commitments and delivery


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Strong ability to solve complex problems and write effective code for Automation tests (Typescript, Javascript, Gherkin, Cucumber, Web Services, SQL) particularly for user interface automation.
  • Identify and direct opportunities to update and implement new test automation technologies, frameworks, and methodologies with the engineering department.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing automation tests suite as changes are implemented to the existing test and product code bases.
  • Assist with maintaining the test environments and creating new ones as required using DigitalOcean / AWS / other.
  • Collaborate and provide mentoring by performing peer to peer Code Reviews on the Test Automation check-ins.
  • Collaborate with the development team including Product Owner, Quality Engineers, Software Engineers, to analyze the given business requirements and identify scenarios for new automated tests.
  • Participate in all the Agile Ceremonies that contribute towards overall quality of the product, conduct demos and presentations.
  • Craft test data, prepare Test Automation Scripts, implement error handling when applicable, identify defects, log them in a Defect Management System and track to close them.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately perform system-wide root cause analyses and drive improvements.
  • Follows established coding standards and techniques, assists with establishing standards.
