Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for working with the business and technical staff in planning, executing, and documenting testing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develops and executes software testing processes, procedures and methodologies
• Works to minimize risk by identifying, communicating and escalating issues appropriately to QA Manager and project teams
• Performs post implementation testing, smoke testing, patch testing, and supports as needed to help stabilize the application
• Participates in the learning, development and deploying of automation frameworks
• Communicates test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
• Updates and maintains test scripts and regression documentation
• Supporting role in developing and implementing testing center of excellence (TCoE)
• Cultivates and disseminates knowledge of quality assurance best practices
Skills & Competencies:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation
• Experience with testing Windows Desktop Applications, Web, Mobile, and Message Queues
• Experience with testing application deployments such as SSCM
• Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills
• Candidate must be a self-starter who can work well under minimal supervision as well as take a proactive approach in being team oriented
• Background in defect tracking/resolution and quality assurance skills
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
• Minimum 6+ years of experience as a QA Analyst in software testing including test planning, test case development, test execution, and quality assessment
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields preferred
