Asset and Inventory Manager - Private Sector – BlueTeam

The Quality Control and Safety Manager (QCSM) is responsible for ensuring that all projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with safety regulations (i.e. “Operational Excellence”).


What you’ll do….

  • Quality Control
    • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for all phases of our roofing projects
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets industry best practice quality standards
    • Identify areas for improvement and work with project teams to implement corrective actions
    • Monitor and track quality metrics and generate reports for management review
  • Safety Management
    • enforce BlueTeam safety manual, policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
    • Review and update the BlueTeam Safety Manual to reflect adjustments in regulatory standards
    • Enforce and adhere to OSHA standards
    • Conduct safety training for all employees, including virtual seminars and safety orientations
    • Perform safety audits and inspections at job sites to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols
    • Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare internal and OSHA required reports, and recommend preventive measures
    • Keep abreast of industry safety trends and update company policies accordingly
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain comprehensive records of quality control and safety activities, including inspection reports, incident reports, and safety training records
    • Review SSSR (Site Specific Safety Plan) for adherence and submissions per project
    • Generate reports on quality control and safety performance for management
  • Risk Management
    • Identify potential risks and hazards associated with projects and develop risk mitigation strategies
    • Work with project directors and supers to develop and implement safety plans specific to different work environment situations
    • Collaborate with the CFO regarding any insurance claims
    • Report quarterly to the executive leadership team the value of claims and lost revenue because of poor craftsmanship and/or safety violations
    • Conduct equipment and tools audits in conjunction with the Support Services division. Reports to include an inventory of equipment/tools taken out of service
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Lead efforts to continuously improve quality and safety processes within the organization
    • Stay up to date with industry best practices and technologies related to quality control and safety
    • Conduct root cause analysis for quality and safety issues and implement corrective
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as require

    • Demonstrate interpersonal and presentation skills for frequent contact with clients and co-workers

    • Mature leader who maintains a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business management or related field, and/or a minimum of five (5) years of progressive responsibility and experience quality control, safety management, and risk management
    • IICRC Health & Safety Technician
