Recycling Assistant

Salary: £30,602.96 plus bonus OTE £36,002.96

Hours - working 3.5 days per week

2 week rolling roster across 7 days (including weekends): average summer hours per week are 37 and average winter hours are 31 (roster to be discussed in detail at interview)

Location: Picow Farm Household Waste Recycling Centre, Runcorn, WA7 4UD

What will you be doing?

• Provide an effective and efficient recycling service to the residents with their household waste and recycling.

• To assist members of the public at the household recycling centre with waste and recycling disposal

• To ensure that the facility is left in a clean condition, removing any fly tipped waste and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area

• Operate site mobile plant as and when required and perform routine daily checks, maintenance and cleaning of plant, tools and equipment

• To ensure the health and safety of all members of the public, visitors, staff and contractors at the site

• To assist with other parts of the operation as and when required

Training will be provided for CMS level 1, JCB operators and first aid. 
 

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience within a similar operational environment

• Manual handling experience

• Full driving licence

This role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
