Sodexo is seeking a Part-time Registered Dietitian to work 20 hour/week at Montcare Potomac, a nationally-recognized skilled nursing and rehab centerlocated in Potomac, Maryland- on the outskirts of DC. This position offers benefits and a flexible schedule, with potential for extra hours.

Montcare Potomac provides individualized post-hospital skilled nursing care in a comfortable environment. Our clinical and therapy teams are experienced in providing specialized care focused on your needs, interests and ability. This commitment results in a smoother and safer transition throughout your recuperation.

The successful candidate will:

• work with a fulltime RD to provide nutritional care to the long-term care residents and sub-acute rehab patients;
• meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;
• be an active member of the interdisciplinary care conferences;
• represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff; and/or
• support the food service operation as needed.

• Registered Dietitian credentials and are licensed in MD;

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
