Responsibilities:

- Test engineering for Reliability Testing (Appropriate Test kits such as Aging /Biasing Oven and Chip-on-Carrier test development with the collaboration of Test R&D team, electrical/optical test execution for chip-level qualification, data extraction, data processing)

- ESD test development to test bare chip/bar/wafers, as well as Chip-on-Carrier and Dual-in-line package configuration, ESD equipment maintenance. IV data analysis to find the root cause of failure – whether any design weakness or process issues.

- Working closely with the Reliability Laboratory Manager and Technicians to pursue all different reliability tests of different chip products to maintain the strict timelines.

- Rapid troubleshooting to any issues in the CoC tester and the Aging/Biasing Oven

- Produce chip qualification reports for the external customers and internal customers/stakeholders as well as proper documentations for the future generation products.

Key relationships:

• Working closely with the Chip Reliability Manager, Reliability Lab Manager, and Senior Reliability Engineers who will define the testing required.
• Close working with the test development team to commission new reliability test kit and ensure test kit is well maintained.
• Close working with other Reliability Engineers and Technicians as well as Chip Design Engineers to determine the data processing and analysis required.

Skills/Competencies/ Experience required:

• BS in physics, electronic engineering, material science or similar related discipline.
• Test engineering (Test kit development, electrical/optical test execution/data extraction/data processing)
• Statistical software package: JMP, Minitab etc
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, able to robustly defend data analysis and conclusions where necessary.
• Good interpersonal and project management skills.
• Willing & able to pro-actively engage with other groups within the company both verbally and via written communication.
• Self-motivated, energetic, able to work to deadlines.
• The flexibility to cope with rapidly changing objectives, age, religion/beliefs, or any other reason which cannot be shown to be justified.

Skills/Competencies/ Experience Desirable:

• Opto-electronic/electronic component, design, performance, processing and operation
• Reliability Analysis and Reliability Modelling software such as Reliasoft Weibull++
• Failure analysis of Electronics/Photonic Devices
• Hands-on experience in using FIB-SEM, TEM and EDSOTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Experience in opto-electronic component reliability and qualification (to Telcordia standards)
