Arene's mission is to simplify vehicle software development and increase developer agility by crafting tools and processes which enable novel uses of vehicles without compromising safety.

Chief Engineer Office's mission is to lead global technical activities such as high level requirements, architecture and validation, through harmonized processes and tools. To deliver "Arene" with the desired Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) to Toyota, it is crucial to align our development plans, processes and products with Toyota's products life cycle. We do Systems Engineering, and transform needs to solutions

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for Requirements Engineers who are excited about helping build the best in class "software first" automotive platform. We envision the Arene platform will change the way vehicles are made. Ideally you would be familiar with the challenges associated with the automotive software lifecycle and are motivated to solve them. You will report to the Team Lead of System Engineering function

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work with a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary team on the next generation Mobility Abstractions (MAs) and their implementation that will enable rapid development and update of vehicle software.

・Define standard and guidelines for requirement engineering.

・Work with stakeholders to define customer requirements for the Mobility Abstractions.

・Write, analyze, and manage requirements and resolve conflicting requirements.

・Perform requirement reviews to ensure the requirement quality and to ensure requirement engineering standards and guidelines are satisfied.

・Work closely with functional safety and security engineers when developing standards/guidelines and developing requirements.

・Support internal audit activities and help Arene teams comply with requirement engineering standards and guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Experience as a Requirements Engineer in the Automotive industry or other safety critical industries
• Knowledge of Requirements Management best practices and of at least one requirement management tool, e.g. DOORS, JAMA
• Business level English proficiency
• Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1)

NICE TO HAVES:

• Programming languages: C, C++, Python
• Exposure to Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
• Familiarity with the ISO 26262, SOTIF, or other standards for functional safety
