What role you will play in our team

• ExxonMobil is seeking an industry established Special Core Analysis (SCAL) SME to provide global SCAL expertise for a variety of projects including Conventional Oil & Gas exploration and appraisal projects and Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS).
• The successful candidates will be responsible for working with multi-discipline teams (reservoir / wells / geoscience / lab professionals) to provide support in SCAL experimental design (wettability, capillary pressure, steady state relative permeability, etc.), planning, interpretation, analysis and reporting. The position is located at ExxonMobil Spring campus in Texas.
• ExxonMobil will not consider qualified candidates without permanent right to work in the US

What you will do

• Planning, coordination and execution of special core analysis studies
• Collaborating with lab professionals to design and troubleshoot lab studies and equipment
• Providing expert support & consultation for core analysis and/or geomechanics across the company
• Providing rock property input parameters and saturation functions for reservoir simulation models
• Developing and/or leveraging new reservoir engineering technologies to support business solutions

About You

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Science / Engineering with 10+ years of experience in Engineering specializing in reservoir characterization, core analysis
• PhD in the related fields with 5+ years of experience in Engineering specializing in reservoir characterization, core analysis will provide an advantage
• Previous experience in analytical performance prediction, data management, technical report writing, and lab troubleshooting is required.
• Exposure to reservoir simulation, pressure transient tests, fluid sampling and analysis will provide additional advantage.

• Strong reservoir engineering analytical skills
• Coring and core analysis
• Fluid sampling and analysis
• Hands-on experimental core flooding experience
