Job Description Summary
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a North America Risk Management Analyst who will support the company's risk management function in North America. This position reports to and works closely with the North America Risk Manager and partners closely with the regional business units and corporate functions to provide effective risk management which aligns with Cushman & Wakefield's global risk management strategy. This position supports the identification and management of the company's risks through active involvement in the corporate insurance programs, client and vendor contract negotiations, data analytics, loss control, and other projects as needed.
Job Description
- Assist North America Risk Manager with placement and management of regional and contract specific insurance programs
- Manage all administrative functions of the North America insurance programs (e.g., certificates, auto ID cards, workers compensation posting notices, annual audits, etc.)
- Conduct insurance language reviews in vendor and client contracts; partner with North America Risk Manager and the company's legal, procurement, and business teams to negotiate contracts
- Assist with vendor management, including identification of risks and managing insurance exceptions
- Ensure timely and accurate invoice payment and intercompany allocations as necessary
- Analyze claims data to identify loss drivers and claims trends
- Partner with Cushman & Wakefield business teams, health and safety teams, insurance carriers, and other internal and external stakeholders to implement and monitor loss control initiatives
- Assist North America Risk Manager providing ongoing consultation and training to the business leaders regarding internal and external risk management issues
- Report claims to insurers and provide claims administration support as needed
- Collaborate with other functional areas on projects as needed (e.g., client billing, allocations, etc)
- Identify, propose, and implement process improvements with a focus on enhancing efficiency
- Prepare and present reports to management as required or requested
- Assist with other risk management and insurance related projects as required or requested
KEY COMPETENCIES
• Broad insurance knowledge of property, casualty, professional indemnity, and management liability coverages
• Knowledge of structure and operations of large, complex, publicly traded global organizations
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including excellent oral and written communication and ability to work with a variety of personalities at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with high attention to detail
• Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to achieve successful outcomes with minimal oversight
IMPORTANT EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree required; preferably in risk management, business or other related field but not required
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or other risk management designation preferred but not required
IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE
• 2+ years of experience in corporate risk management and/or insurance roles • Experience with large, complex corporate insurance programs
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)• Computer proficiency to utilize online Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS)
