Sales Coordinator
The Sales Coordinator facilitates the smooth operation of the internal sales processes. They liaise between different departments, manage customer Request for Quote (RFQ) inquiries, organize and submit proposals. Organizational skills ensure that the sales team can focus on selling, while they handle all details and organization.
Reports To: Sales/Estimating Management
Primary Purpose
The Sales Coordinator ensures the company is responding in a timely manner to customer’s needs, tracking quotes and incoming purchase orders. Must be able to work closely with the Engineering, Estimating, Purchasing, and Production departments.
Duties Essential Duties
- Receives, reviews and tracks customer RFQ's.
- Manages data storage and file organization for the Company’s estimating activities
- Maintains the Quote Log. Ensures all proper data is entered timely and accurately
- Manages all customer portals. Responsible for daily checking of RFQ requests and Purchase orders.
- Attend daily meetings and take lead role in reviewing open RFQs to be sure the team is on track to be successful.
- Submit quotes in a timely manner in the customer approved format and portal.
- Responsible for matching PO’s to quoted pricing for accuracy.
- Produce and distribute estimating reports on a monthly basis.
- Works with production team to ensure customer timing is shared and jobs get scheduled to meet customer needs
- Must be very detail and task oriented.
- Must have exceptional organizational skills.
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
Strong Microsoft skills is a requirement
