Job Description

As a Sales Leader, you will help create segment strategy and lead a team of Account Executives. You will help them manage and grow their sales territories and provide ongoing coaching. You will work closely with the AWS sales organization and advance Mission's relationship with AWS. You will shape Mission's sales organization by identifying and implementing process improvements and strategic initiatives.
This position is 100% remote with 40% of travel.
Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales leadership to tailor go-to-market strategy for assigned segments
  • Build and maintain alignment with AWS segment-level leadership
  • Identify unique challenges and opportunities of assigned segments; develop and implement action plans
  • Work with leadership in other Sales, Marketing, and Service Delivery departments to facilitate successful deal closures and develop and implement process improvements
  • Provide recommendations for Sales budget
  • Lead and provide oversight to a group of assigned Account Executives daily
  • Ensure the team achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas
  • Conduct weekly pipeline and activity metric reviews with direct reports; manage sales forecasting for the team
  • Report on sales data, including pipeline, closed deals, and team performance
  • Work with direct reports on the preparation and presentation of business reviews and plans
  • Provide support as needed on team members' deals and with their AWS teams
  • Recruit for open positions on the Account Executive team; ramp up new hires
  • Hold regular 1:1s with all direct reports and provide guidance on performance and career development
  • Be a Mission Cloud Ambassador; participate in external events


Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technology-related sales or business development role
  • Experience with consultative selling of professional and/or managed services
  • Ability to effectively lead a team
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles; strong closing skills
  • Ability to manage contract negotiation and redlining
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with C-suite executives
  • AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification to be achieved within the first year of employment at Mission Cloud
  • Must be able and willing to manage 40% or more travel
