Who are we? 

We’re a ten-year-old scale up Enterprise SaaS platform that is freshly capitalized with a big funding round, growing at 100% year over year with 70% revenue in the USA, even though we’re HQ’d in the UK (long story, will tell you over a coffee).

What do we do? 

We help Enterprises to grow by using our predictive data platform to innovate and create new products, mostly in the CPG vertical, but soon to be more verticals!  

Clients include P&G, PepsiCo, Coty, Kraft-Heinz, Pernod Ricard, Conagra and more than 40 other enterprise clients. 

 

What we want you to do? 

As the Sales Development Manager you will be responsible for continuing to scale and lead our sales development organization. You will be an integral part of the sales leadership team and, by providing continuous mentorship for our SDRs, refining our processes, defining and tracking our KPIs and spearheading SDR recruiting, you will scale this organisation to meet and exceed our lofty growth ambitions. You will work closely with other leaders in sales, marketing, and revops to drive the strategy for the sales development team. 

As a data science and platform-first SaaS company, we sit on a treasure trove of insights and data that we use in our outreach. It’s rare to have such a rich and plentiful source of content to tease and provoke prospects with, so we expect you to plan and execute the best possible ways to utilize it. You'll have a huge amount of autonomy and support to make the most of it.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage, develop, coach and lead a team of Sales Development Representatives currently based in London & the US. 
  • Recruit and onboard new SDRs as and when necessary.
  • Observe current outreach and opportunity generation practices, immerse yourself in team metrics, and identify areas for improvement at scale.
  • Proactively identify and launch initiatives to drive new business development growth and operational excellence.
  • Monitor and refine processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on the SDR team.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual pipeline targets. 
  • Report on pipeline-building metrics and forecast to senior sales management. 
  • Collaborate with L&D partner to create and update training and development.
  • Motivate individuals and team to exceed objectives through coaching and mentorship.
  • Work with marketing to ensure thorough follow up of inbound leads.
  • Empower the SDR team to take ownership of their territories.
  • Ensure that team metrics and OKRs are aligned with the broader organizational objectives.
  • Provide insightful feedback from prospect conversations to product, sales and marketing leadership  

 

Qualifications 

  • 2-3 years of experience managing high performing sales development teams  
  • Strong understanding of sales development best practices (cadence management, cold-calling, objection handling, etc.) and pipeline building process
  • Humility and empathy for the challenges our prospects face daily
  • Industry experience in Market Research/Data and Analytics selling SaaS Solutions
  • Experience working in a startup/scale up environment

Remote Working - this role is eligible for remote working within USA  - Eastern and Central timezone.We support remote workers with a one-off allowance for home office setup. Every remote Swan would have a chance to also come to the Hub they are linked to once a year to meet their colleagues.
