About the Role
Ogilvy Sydney is hiring a Senior Account Manager to work on one of the agency’s most exciting accounts. The account is fast-paced, expands across multiple touchpoints in each campaign and is packed with growth opportunities. You will be immersed deeply in the business and will support across a range of projects, spanning brand through to digital, all connecting back to solving business challenges.
The team is tight-knit, supportive, has no egos and always looking for ways to have fun on the day-to-day. You will learn the business inside out and work with the Group Account Director to be the client’s trusted advisor.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Build an open, honest, and trusting relationship with the client, the account management team, the creative department, and all other agency partners.Â
- Create the best possible opportunities for creative development, by supporting teams in creative development and understanding how it delivers business challenges.Â
- Work alongside a team, ensuring that teamwork and collaboration are front and centre of that process.Â
- Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s brand and its competitive environment, so that the agency is jointly driving the strategy and adding value to the relationship.Â
- Work with internal stakeholders to get things done on time, on budget and at the right quality, including peers across departments and disciplines.Â
- Manage the professional development of direct reports, including feedback coaching and efficient delegation.Â
- Develop a strong relationship with the client and ensure they are kept in the loop with work in progress.Â
Experience & Skills
- At least two years of experience in a creative agency
- Experience developing through-the-line creative solutions and campaign productions, particularly in broadcast, digital and print
- Be a great listener, and then be able to move proactively and quicklyÂ
- Lead the clients, not just reacting to briefs, anticipating their needs, and finding solutions
- Ability to build strong agency inter-departmental and external agency relationships
- Sound financial management skillsÂ
- Demonstrate resilience, confidence, and tenacity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation abilities, including effective influence/persuasion skills
- Ability to handle a difficult situation with diplomacy and tact
- Ability to be a good judge of creative work in terms of factual accuracy and relevance to the brief
