Senior Accounting Analyst

Tecovas is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst  to join our growing and dynamic Accounting Team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will support the accounting and analysis for SG&A spend. This role will work cross-functionally with all departments within Tecovas and will be a key player in helping to strengthen our internal financial reporting process.  

This position is based out of Austin, TX but will have the ability to work from home and in-office.

What you’ll do:

• Reconcile activity for various Balance Sheet and P&L accounts, specifically related to the following departments: Payroll, HR, Retail Operations, Retail, and Customer Service
• Own the recording and analysis of Payroll and benefits activity for the entire company
• Prepare monthly close schedules for various department close meetings
• Support Accounting Management in process improvement initiatives, aimed at creating scalability and efficiencies across the department
• Coordinate with HR and Payroll leaders to provide financial analyst support
• Assist in annual financial statement audit
• Assist in ad hoc projects

Experience we’re looking for:

• Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Masters Degree in Accounting 
• CPA preferred 
• Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience
• Previous Payroll Accounting experience a plus
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• NetSuite ERP experience (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical mindset
