Job Description

Nous recherchons un programmeur sénior en IA qui fait preuve de passion et de curiosité dans la création de systèmes et de comportements d'IA complexes. Chez People Can Fly, vous travaillerez avec certaines des technologies les plus passionnantes de l’industrie et travaillerez aux côtés de personnes talentueuses.
En collaborant de près avec plusieurs départements et en étroite proximité avec le design, vous mettrez en œuvre des éléments de nos systèmes d'IA donnant vie à nos personnages. 

Vous développerez et maintiendrez les outils et les systèmes nécessaires aux concepteurs pour créer des comportements d'IA complexes contribuant à créer des expériences impressionnantes pour les joueurs.

Dans ce rôle, vous: 

• Travaillez sur plusieurs disciplines notamment sur les comportements d'une grande variété de personnages non-joueurs, en donnant vie à des personnages mémorables de toutes formes et tailles pilotés par l’IA.
• Maintenir et étendre le cadre et les outils d’IA existants dan Unreal Engine 5.
• Concevoir, mettre en œuvre, développer et maintenir de nouveaux systèmes et fonctionnalités d'IA.
• Créer du code et des algorithmes pour l'orientation, le mouvement de groupe, la coopération et la stratégie tactique.
• Tester, déboguer, profiler, optimiser et documenter les implémentations.
• Participer activement aux révisions du code et agir comme mentor auprès de vos pairs.

We are looking for an experienced AI engineer who exhibits passion and curiosity in building world class AI systems and behaviours. At People Can Fly you will work with some of the industry’s most exciting technology and work alongside talented individuals. Working across multiple departments and in close proximity with design, you will implement elements of our AI systems bringing to life our AI characters. You will develop and maintain the tools and systems necessary for designers to build complex AI behaviours helping to create awesome experiences for players.

In this role you will:

• Work across multiple disciplines on the behaviours of a large variety of non-player characters, bringing to life memorable AI characters of all shapes and sizes.
• Maintain and extend the existing UE5 AI framework and tools.
• Design, implement, engineer and maintain new AI systems and features.
• Create code and algorithms for pathfinding, group movement and cooperation, tactical strategy.
• Test, debug, profile, optimize and document implementations.
• Actively participate in code reviews and be a mentor for your peers.

Qualifications

• Au moins 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle dans le domaine des logiciels, de préférence dans le développement de jeux
• Au moins un titre AAA comme programmeur ou programmeuse IA
• Expertise en C++ et solide fondation en mathématiques 3D
• Bonne compréhension de l’architecture et des techniques d’IA dans les jeux AAA.
• Expérience en mesure et optimisation des performances
• Expérience en programmation d'IA de mouvement, de navigation et de prise de décision
• Capacité à écrire du code solide, fiable et efficace
• Être capable de travailler efficacement dans des délais serrés
• Fortes compétences en communication orale et écrite.
• Excellente communication et attitude d'équipe en travaillant avec des développeurs de jeux de toutes disciplines
• Forte éthique de travail, motivation et passion pour les jeux et la technologie.
• Connaissance d'Unreal Engine

Atouts:

• Connaissances JIRA, Swarm et Perforce
• BS (ou supérieur) en informatique ou dans une discipline similaire (physique, mathématiques, EE, etc.)
• Expérience dans l'exploitation des tests automatisés

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 1 shipped AAA projects as an AI programmer
• Expert in C++ with a strong 3D math background
• Good understanding of AI systems architecture 
• Experience with performance measurement and optimization
• Experience in programming movement, navigation, and decision-making AI
• Ability to write solid, reliable, efficient code
• Being able to work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent communication and team attitude working with game developers from all disciplines
• Strong work ethic, motivation and passion for gaming and technology.
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine

• BS (or higher) in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.)
