Job Description

As a fast-expanding organisation, Carousell is looking for a Senior Associate, HR for our Philippines office. This role is expected to have a focus on People Services (commonly known as People Operations), responsible for day-to-day HR operational support to the local and regional offices. You will work closely with the People Services Team and other People Business Partners in ensuring timely support for key HR initiatives and employee lifecycle matters. This role will report to the Non-tech Regional Business Partner. 

You will:

• Work as a People Business Partner to the Business Leaders and people managers under the assigned functions/departments. 

• Integrate and apply knowledge of HR and the stakeholders’ business to contribute to the organisation’s bottom line.

• Involve and work in a wide-variety of business related activities, focusing on enhancing organisational performance, developing a competent and committed workforce and building organisational capabilities that directly impact business strategies.

• Serve as a member of strategic and operational business teams and act as liaison to the People Team Center of Expertise (COE) groups and broker services.

• Provide advisory on the Philippines market in terms of understanding the talent landscape, employment laws, rewards and HR best practices.

• Accountable for the delivery of People services to the assigned employee group, whether provided directly or brokered through the People Team COEs and People Support Services.

• Collaborate closely with the People Services Team and HRIS vendors for employee data change requests and escalate system issues to close the gap within the shortest time frame. 

• Be involved in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new markets and support the users in UAT, where necessary.

Qualifications

• An experience of 4-6 years in a HR Generalist role 

• Strong knowledge and experience in at least 3 or more of the following areas, particularly OD/L&D, C&B, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and Coaching 

• Good knowledge of the Philippines Employment Law

• Experience with enterprise-grade HRIS and understand system workflows. Experience with Darwinbox will be highly advantageous, but not a must.

• Good communication skills and competent in holding independent conversations with various internal and external stakeholders.

• Payroll processing is not required for this role but you should be familiar with the basics in order to collaborate with our payroll team.

• Ideally, data driven and analytical

• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, both oral and written

• A cheerful, positive, empathic and curious personality
