We are looking for a Senior Associate Scientist with a solid laboratory background in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. The new team member will be part of a group charged with the delivery of high-quality research reagents to support in vitro and in vivo experiments and well-characterized potential lead candidate and clinical candidate proteins to support preclinical studies.
Duties and responsibilities
•Carry and maintain HEK293 and ExpiCHO cell lines.
•Banking cell lines
•Support recombinant protein expression via transient transfection.Â
•Generate protein reagents for in-vitro testing by small scale expression and purification to support early-stage discovery programs.
•Database entry and protein request tracking and fulfil requests for protein dilutions.
•Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting experiments for transfection efficiency
•Perform analytical assays, such as Fortebio binding, to quantify transfection efficiency.
•Managing and maintaining lab equipment and supplies/lab operations support
•Maintain electronic lab notebook.
•Knowledge and ability to do stable CHO cell line development, a plus
Qualifications
•At least 2-5 years of cell culture and sterile hood techniques.
•BS in the biological sciences minimum. Industry experience strongly preferred.
•Attention to detail, with a mindset to carefully track results.
•Ability to clearly present and explain results.
•Motivated to perform precision bench work.
•Quick learner
•Energetic and flexible as needed for a rapidly evolving biotherapeutic company with eagerness to contribute to other activities outside of immediate responsibilities.
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
•Database experience is a plus.

This position is a Professional level position, with a compensation range of $94,000 - $121,000.
