Invoice Cloud is on a journey of refactoring the current portfolio of successful cloud hosted SaaS solutions. The journey involves application and infrastructure evolution and modernization through Agile “C” practices (Continuous Integration/Testing/Deployment/Delivery) practices. This journey/roadmap involves establishing nimble applications (microservices), Resiliency (Blue/Green deployment, DR/HA strategies) and hardening security practices. Team members working on this journey are expected to establish cross-functional skills and establish/demonstrate leadership and ownership of their technical domains.  

Reporting into the Cloud Engineering leader, this Sr Cloud Solutions Eng. role is responsible for hands on engineering responsibilities and technical leadership to contribute broader engineering objectives. The primary areas of focus are availability (99.99% uptime), security & scalability of IC SaaS platform and cost governance. This role is expected to collaborate across disciplines, in driving architecture & design decisions. 

Primary operational responsibilities include: 

• Design & implement 99.99% uptime of all critical networking solutions – firewalls (Barracuda, Palo Alto, Azure), VPC, load balancers, gateway, Cloudflare etc. 

• Active engineering participation in implementing (coding, testing, documenting, rollout, on call) of the above solutions using the established IaC patterns. 

• Design & Implementation into security architectural patterns governing the software micro service transformation 

• Collaborate external/offshore resources allocated 

• Contribute PCI, PADSS, SOC Type2, SOX audit initiatives 

• Maintain 70%+ track record meeting project goals/ milestones.  

Required skillsets: 

• Deep knowledge of Cloud services (PaaS/IaaS) – specifically Azure and ability expand into other clouds offerings. 

• Knowledge of SDN in cloud/firewalls. 

• Ability to code terraform using best IaC practices. 

• Ability to manage and continuously optimize cloud costs. 

• Ability to follow devops practices – Specifically IaC and Security. 

• Ability to implement system observability (apps/infrastructure) 

• Knowledge containerization and Kubernetes platform. 

• Knowledge of Configuration management tools – Ansible or DSC 

Optional skillsets with a flare to develop into abilities below:  

• Knowledge of gitops methodologies/practices. 

• Ability to write IaC test cases (knowledge of golang/python etc.) 

• work in Agile mode. 

• ADO pipelines. 

• code C# (application and unit testing code). 

• define DB schema’s (SQL and nonSQL databases) 

• write SQL or noSQL code. 

• write UI code (React/Angular) and supporting test cases
