Job Description
- You'll help us reimagine and transform our Cox Automotive brand strategy and portfolio architecture.
- You'll apply your market and product knowledge; you will lead the development of compelling value propositions and insightful market positioning and strategy to help Marketing and Sales achieve agreed-upon business goals.
- You'll be focused on cross-sell and enterprise initiatives, working with teams from multiple brands across Cox Automotive to develop programs and positioning designed to broaden customer adoption and utilization of our collective products and services.
- You'll build a deep understanding of our clients, the market, vertical markets, and the competition across all the regions in which Cox Automotive does business.
- You'll understand the competitive landscape and know how competitors are positioned to contribute to strategies and tactics to grow market share and secure our flanks.
- You'll monitor industry analysts, competitors, customers, sales engagements, etc. to identify trends and market opportunities.
- You'll develop and articulate clear and compelling customer pain points, market positioning, and value statements to guide the content strategy with key internal & external communication departments (marketing, training, etc.).
- You'll ensure creative is on brand and best-in-class, in partnership with internal and external agencies and reinforce throughout the organization.
- You'll work collaboratively with cross-brand teams to build positioning, targeting, pricing, programs, and messaging for relevant segments and audiences.
- You'll develop and oversee the product marketing messaging related to cross-brand/portfolio value propositions, including sales enablement tools, competitive comparisons, etc.
- You'll lead key account marketing support for our top Enterprise Dealer, Lender & OEM clients.
- You'll work with stakeholders to secure client KPIs for products or a combined set of products for use in marketing and sales messaging.
- You'll validate hypotheses through customer insights, data analysis, and testing.
- You'll collaborate with internal departments across Cox Automotive such as Sales, Pricing, Product Management, Operations, Market Research, and teams within Marketing, including Content, Campaigns, and Digital.

Qualifications:
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who inspires trust and respect and has the background to prove it. Someone with the experience and vision to build transformative, cohesive client experiences across marketing campaigns and initiatives. Someone who approaches their work with a spirit of partnership, proactivity, and dependability.
You'll also have a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related discipline and 12+ years of experience in marketing or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Requirements for the role:
- BS/BA in a related discipline OR an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Generally, 12+ years of experience in a related field.
- B2B Marketing, including Brand Marketing and Product Marketing experience.
- 10+ years of experience leading, managing, mentoring and coaching team members.
- Excellent communication skills - both spoken and written.
- Polished presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to turn complex subject matter into easy-to-understand artifacts as the basis for marketing and sales programs.
- Excellent people skills to interact with peers/colleagues, cross-functional teams, third parties, and customers. Must be a strong team player.
- Outstanding follow-through, time management, and project management skills to deliver results.
Now, we'd also prefer you have the following, but it's not necessarily required:
- MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- A high degree of comfort with navigating a matrix organization and operating in ambiguity to take on new challenges.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry or B2B software is a strong plus.
- Pragmatic Marketing certification & Challenger training are desirable.
