Job Description Summary:

The Sr. Director, Global Category, Finance provides thought leadership and analytical support to assigned Global Category President and her/his team of category leads. The qualified candidate is a professional with experience in financial analysis, business acumen and will be instrumental in partnering in the category’s strategy and growth.  The role requires a need to proactively scan the shifts in the Global Marketing function and adapt work processes and strategy swiftly. The role reports into the Vice President, Finance, Global Marketing of The Coca-Cola Company.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Lead the Category Long Range Plan process, making recommendations on Category resource allocation (EP combos) and providing guidance on levels of investments for the respective brands
  • Provide financial and business insights on drivers of overall Category performance based on discussions with the Operating Unit category teams, Investment management teams and the information provided through Rolling Estimates and the Annual Business Plan.
  • Work with the Category Leads on identifying and prioritizing global initiatives and campaigns across the Network. Define key initiatives on an ongoing basis culminating in the annual business plan
  • Manage Category budgets, risks & opportunities and ensure deployment of funds balancing the strategic objectives and in-year needs
  • Integrate the new Operating model adopted by the Global Marketing function into finance ways of planning to further drive efficiency & effectiveness
  • Co-lead efforts with GC teams and the Corporate Strategy to identify and craft strategies to tap into the white spaces
  • Assess different business models and make recommendations on preferred structures and go to market strategies
  • Partner with the Marketing Platform Services & Finance Hub organization to leverage technology, AI and other tools to standardize reporting, drive data analytics & insights to the Category leadership
  • Lead development of finance analysis (value chain analysis, financial modelling, DME analytics, opportunity assessment, return on investment analysis, cash flow analysis and other financial tools) to develop recommendations to business leads to support decision making
  • Understand external and competitive category performance to inform decisions. Leadership of financial management with the customer team, which requires strong customer focus and influence
  • Communicate and interpret findings across brand, category and consumer based on financial analysis that provides additional perspectives on implications, risk, opportunity and trends
  • Build value-based relationships with Brand, Customer, Commercial, RGM, Franchise, Supply Chain, Legal, Tax and other key associates.
  • Responsible for leading a networked team - develop and sustain a diverse and high-performing network team.  Coach, guide, and mentor team in managing and building their quantitative and analytical skills. Establishing key relationships that can be leveraged to strengthen team capabilities and to provide career advancement opportunities in the organization

Position Details:

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Hybrid work schedule - 3 days per week in person and 2 days virtual

Individual contributor role - no direct reports

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 12 years of financial experience, financial and business analysis, demonstrated commercial acumen and/or a consulting background
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, Finance, or Accounting.  MBA, CPA, CFA, or master’s degree preferred
  • Advanced quantitative analytical skills - ability to draw insights and actions from large datasets, which lead to actionable strategies. Ability to perform financial analyses to assist in exploring strategic options, developing creative solutions to complex business issues, and/or support the strategic decision-making process.
  • Keen adopter of technology
  • Strong collaborative & influential style to effectively work with the global networked organization
  • Ability to work independently to drive initiatives forward by coordinating cross functional resources

KEY Knowledge REQUIREMENTS

Mastery of (REQUIRED)

Pay Range:

$170,100 - $199,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
