Scopely is looking for a Sr. Director of Community to join an ambitious new AAA cross-platform game coming to PC, consoles, and mobile in the US on a remote basis!

The Senior Director of Community will be leading a team for their game title, and responsible for building on category-winning strategies to deliver the best in class Hyper Engaged Community.
This role requires someone who can bring together the art and science of the modern-day PC/Console games community, with the ability to support a title across multiple hardware platforms. A focus on orchestrating the growth, engagement and retention of the community through content, activations and community-driven features to deliver a world-class gaming experience for our players. You'll be focused on leading the community for an exciting in-development cross-platform, PC/Console-led new title, which means being involved early in the games' development.
What You Will Do:
- You will be responsible for building out a team to support the game in each of these areas
- You will set strategy, develop tactics, and guide the Community team
- You will play a pivotal role in shaping the online presence of our game and fostering meaningful connections with our players
- Develop and execute a global community, social, and influencer strategy that aligns with our game's brand identity and broader marketing goals to drive engagement, retention and advocacy among players
- Establish communication channels and platforms to facilitate ongoing interaction between players, developers, and content creators
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the community to collaborate with cross-functional teams integrating community feedback into game development processes, ensuring a player-centric approach
- Foster positive interactions and relationships within the community by promoting inclusivity, respect, and collaboration
- Plan and execute community events, tournaments, and promotions to encourage participation and excitement within the community
- Generate original ideas and concepts for content that showcase gameplay, highlight community events, and spotlight player achievements and stories
- Engage with our community across various platforms, including responding to comments, participating in discussions, and amplifying user-generated content
- Utilize analytics tools to track community engagement metrics, sentiment, and social media performance, deriving insights to inform strategies
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in community management, social media management, Influencer management and esports preferably in the gaming industry
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in analyzing and interpreting community engagement metrics, and the ability to use data to drive decision-making
- Deep understanding of gaming platforms, streaming services, and social media channels relevant to content creators and esports
- Deep understanding of the free-to-play landscape, player behavior, and understanding of current gaming trends
- Experience managing game communities, influencers and pro players
- Experience developing programs that effectively engage different community segments throughout the product lifecycle
- Track record of developing engaging content and media that augments your community strategy
- Team player - able to effectively engage stakeholders, agencies, partners & community members - able to hear, process, and respond to feedback to produce creative solutions to meet their needs
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, LiveOps, Production, and Engineering
For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $200,000 - $240,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
