Senior Feed Operations Manager

Summary

CHS Inc has an exciting opportunity in the Brandon business unit, we are looking for a Senior Feed Operations Manager. Candidates would have strong leadership abilities, both written and oral.

Responsibilities• Manage a multi-million-dollar feed operation across multiple locations according to divisional objectives to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit.• Establish and implement a program for the grain operation to include housekeeping, safety, and equipment maintenance to avoid breakdowns and limit safety hazards. Work with Location Managers on all safety and compliance issues.• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.• Educate both employees and patrons in the operations of the cooperative and CHS business objectives to enhance employee effectiveness and improve member relations.• Establish and implement short-term goals that are consistent with long range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel.• Supervise the ongoing maintenance of the vehicle fleet at the location by coordinating the preventative maintenance of vehicles, repairs, and licensing.• Communicate with supervisor and appropriate divisional personnel (grain marketing, farm supply, credit).• Utilize personnel and equipment within CHS to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction Supervise full and part-time operations personnel through responsible training clear job assignment definition and explanation.• Monitor the work of all employees to correct deficient performance and effectively reward and develop all employees.• Assist in developing budget; asset needs, manage approved operating budget.• Perform other duties as assigned and work extended hours as needed to meet business needs.• Serve as a hands-on team lead, performing operations and providing guidance to others as needed to provide efficient, safe, and reliable service to patrons.• Travel expectations: 20%-30%

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• High school diploma or equivalency degree
• 5 plus years of agriculture retail experience
• 2 plus years of supervisory experience
• Understand basic business principals of inventory management

Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Agriculture related program, Business, Engineering or Operations Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proven background in leading a successful team

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
