Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Los Angeles, CA

In this role you will:
Operational & Financial Planning
  • Maintain and enhance opex/capex forecasting model
  • Help coordinate annual plan, monthly forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Interact with department managers regarding functional budgets and forecasts
  • Review monthly actual expenses, perform variance analysis, and adjust forecast as necessary
  • Work closely with accounting team to ensure that actual expenses are coded correctly
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages to review with budget owners
  • Create ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Design and develop planning tools to support process improvement and accuracy

Nature and Purpose of Contacts with Others
  • This position will interface with all of the budget owners (business and functional heads) to ensure adherence to plan and provide support for decision-making
  • Work with accounting team to ensure alignment of Actual and Forecasted expenses
  • Role requires substantial teamwork within FP&A organization

Business Impact
  • Position plays a key role in managing the expense planning/forecasting process, as well as providing meaningful insights to senior management and budget owners to enhance profitability
  • Interface with accounting, finance and HR systems (Oracle, Workday, Concur, etc.)

We're looking for someone with:
  • 4+ years' experience in a financial analysis role
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and GAAP
  • Strong general written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional analytic skills and conceptual thinking ability
  • Demonstrated success in managing large modeling efforts involving complex business problems, large data sets, and statistical analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
  • Record of strong achievement in a competitive undergraduate setting
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; exceptional Excel skills required, including strong knowledge of lookups and sumifs
  • Experience with Oracle EPBCS/Hyperion or similar planning software required
  • Experience with extracting data from Oracle accounting software
  • Experience using and building financial models

In California, the base salary range for this position is: $98,000 - $108,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
