Senior Functional Tester

We are actively seeking a Senior Functional Tester to enhance our remote team. The successful candidate will possess deep insights into healthcare payer services, covering essential areas such as enrollment, provider-related functionalities, broker services, benefits, and claims processing. This position demands a robust understanding of healthcare basics and data, as well as a solid track record in functional testing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of healthcare payer services, including the mechanics of enrollment, provider functionalities, broker services, benefits, and claims processing
• Conduct in-depth functional testing to ensure the systems' reliability, accuracy, and adherence to compliance standards
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scenarios based on specific requirements of healthcare payer services, adhering to regulatory norms and industry best practices
• Utilize understanding of key healthcare data concepts to verify data accuracy and integrity
• Implement test scenarios and cases to detect and resolve defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues, in collaboration with development and QA teams
• Keep detailed and clear documentation of testing procedures, outcomes, and defect reports
• Remain updated with healthcare industry standards and compliance mandates to guarantee system security and compliance
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams to achieve testing goals and adhere to project timelines
• Participate in efforts to improve testing strategies, tools, and overall process efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Functional Testing role
• Advanced skills in defect management, including the ability to identify, document, and rectify issues
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare payer systems, especially in provider management
• Skilled in crafting detailed test cases that align with system specifications
• Capable of making accurate estimations regarding testing scope and resource needs
• Fluent English communication skills, minimum at a B2 level

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Facets healthcare management software
• Knowledge of Agile or similar iterative development methodologies
