As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within Commercial and Investment Banking - Payments Technology, Digital Channels team, you serve in a leadership role. Your role will encompass the delivery of technical solutions, guidance to diverse technical teams, and provision of advisory services. You will also be responsible for foreseeing the requirements and potential dependencies of other functions within the organization. Utilizing your extensive experience in the field, your insights will be instrumental in budget and technical decisions, ultimately enhancing operational efficiencies and functionalities.

• Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks
• Be accountable for decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
• Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary
• Provides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team
• Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation

• Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Experience in system design & implementation of cloud native, highly performant & evergreen applications with a keen eye on plant strategy. Complex problem solving.
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams of technologists. Ability to lead and influence without authority & to deal with ambiguity.
• Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
• In-depth knowledge of the services industry and their IT systems
• Practical cloud native experience with hands-on exposure to AWS/Azure or similar.
• Expert in Java programming with exposure in designing and implementing micro-service and event driven architectures.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Oracle), distributed caches (Gemfire, Redis etc.), hybrid or public cloud topologies

• Experience with full-stack implementations and current with latest tech.
• Experience in end user facing, highly available applications
• Knowledge of React or other web frameworks
• Knowledge of Python,
