A Senior MBSE Systems Engineer job in Windsor, CT is currently available at Belcan. To be considered for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field and at least ten (10) years of experience within the aerospace and defense industry performing a similar role.

Job Duties:

* System requirements management, decomposition, analysis, definition, and traceability

Perform trade studies and support architecture development for customer requirements

* System architecture model development using model based systems engineering (MBSE), typically Cameo/Catia Magic suite of tools

* System integration, functional testing, validation and verification (integration and test, acceptance test plans, test reports, analysis reports, inspection reports) in a process oriented environment and compliance with industry regulatory approval standards (Mil Standards, ARP-4754)

* Support and mentor teams in Agile process

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent engineering degree from an accredited institution

* 10+ years systems engineering or similar relevant experience - preferably with space systems, systems of systems, aerospace software/systems, avionics, power systems, or complicated technical systems in the aerospace or defense industry

* Strong background in systems level thinking with the ability to effectively troubleshoot complex problems

* Demonstrated experience in system development where rigorous process and regulatory standards are required, including standards such as ARP-4754, Mil Standards

* Proficiency in systems architecture modeling tools (MagicDraw, Rhapsody, CAMEO etc.)

* Ability to deal with ambiguity, investigate and solve problems, work across multi-discipline teams, and to recommend solutions to complex system level problems

* Experience with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools

* Excellent communication skills for leadership and interfacing with internal and external customers

* DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK, US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

* Atlassian tools experience (JIRA, Confluence, Git)

* Ability to get secret clearance or active secret clearance a plus

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $150,000 to $175,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
