Senior Network Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Network Analyst to support our client based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Opportunity

TECKpert is seeking a Senior Network Analyst to support our client, a government agency in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role involves maintaining server logs, performing backups and restoring data, and assisting with LAN/WAN systems maintenance. The position is responsible for diagnosing and resolving network hardware and software problems to minimize network downtime. It also includes project management and more complex assignments than the Network Analyst level.

Primary job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise and provide guidance to technical staff.
• Install, configure, and manage complex data networking and client/server systems.
• Monitor and support network administration, security, and software performance.
• Perform network configuration, maintenance, and repair, maintaining accurate records.
• Analyze workflows and develop automated system solutions.
• Provide third-level troubleshooting and lead problem-solving efforts.
• Offer management recommendations to improve program operations.
• Perform data backups and restoration.
• Update servers and LAN/WAN equipment and assist in developing specifications for new equipment.
• Install and upgrade hardware and software for various departments.
• Instruct end users on the maintenance and use of network systems.
• Resolve software issues via phone or on-site visits.
• Write technical documentation for end user instructions.
• Coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair activities with support staff and vendors.
• Execute specific functional area programs (e.g., payroll processing, data backups).

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $105,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful Senior Network Analyst  has the following experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. 
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in network systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) required or equivalent.
• Experience with complex hardware and software problem resolution.
• Ability to provide end user support and instruction.
• Experience in Linux System Administration is preferred.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Ability to carry moderately heavy objects (20-50 pounds) and occasionally heavier objects.
