Job Description

• Technical Proficiency and Network Design: This includes a deep understanding of network infrastructure, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Network Engineers must be adept in designing robust network architectures that are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance
• Knowledge of Protocols: Proficiency and proactivity in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, as well as knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF, is essential
• Operating Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in operating systems incl Windows, MacOS, Unix is crucial
• Network Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of switches, routing protocols like OSPF and BGP, and network security is vital
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities: Proactive ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues is a hallmark of a skilled Network Engineer. This involves strong analytical skills to diagnose problems, coupled with a methodical approach to problem-solving
• Experience Palo Alto (incl Prisma Access), VOIP, WAN, LAN, and VPN,
• Communication Skills: The ability to break down complex issues into simple, understandable language that everyone can comprehend is crucial

Qualifications

• For this Senior role, we are expecting to see at least 8+ years of experience, and evidence of experience with Pali Alto, VOIP, WAN, LAN and VPM - this is a crucial role within the Infrastructure team and one that needs the level of knowledge and expertise outlined.
