As a Senior Performance Engineer in Systems Architecture and Design, you will work with the Commercial Engine Project & Engineering teams to design, assess, and launch GE's next generation of products aimed at reducing emissions. This on-site role involves modeling novel and derivative propulsion systems, performing trade studies, and influencing strategic focus areas to prioritize GE technology investments.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of propulsion solutions for next-generation aircraft.
• Execute aero-thermal models and trade studies for new concept and derivative engines.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to assess technology capabilities and ensure system feasibility.
• Communicate with leadership to shape future propulsion strategies.
• Ensure proper documentation and timely communication of technical data and project status.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Over 7 years of experience in an aero-thermal and/or performance-based engineering position.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Experience with engine cycle modeling or component aero design.
• Proficiency in NPSS, Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience working with global cross-functional teams.
