Role Description
Dropbox simplifies the way people work together. Hundreds of millions of people around the world use Dropbox to work the way they want, on any device, wherever they go. As we scale our global brand, you have the opportunity to simplify life for millions of people globally in a team that creates delightful products that are worthy of trust.
Â
Product managers set the vision for our growing family of products. We’re responsible for guiding multidisciplinary teams toward a common goal: shipping high quality products and features on time at known quality. As advocates for both our users and our business, the best product managers balance diverse perspectives and empower teams to do great work.
Â
As a Product Manager working on our core experience across web and mobile web, you’ll be focused on the end-to-end customer journey that enable users to get the most out off their content. You will play a critical role in improving how our users browse, navigate, share and receive content every day. This team serves hundreds of millions of users and is focused on enabling collaboration across individuals and teams.Â
Responsibilities
- Own features and experiments end-to-end. We follow a hypothesis-driven development approach where you’ll write product specs, drive cross-functional execution and work with Engineering, Design and Analytics to balance tradeoffs, driving to outcomes.Â
- Be an expert at prioritization. Balance your roadmap with tech foundational efforts and bugs to ensure that the highest value is delivered to users.
- Drive to results. Your expertise in navigating challenges that arise during execution will be important as you deliver on your roadmap: making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs, risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication to all of your internal stakeholders.
- Know your customer. You’ll work with a tight-knit team of data science, research, design and customer experience to ensure that you know the ins and outs of our users and are consistently delivering value for them.Â
- Building out what the future of the web experience could be and how it intersects with the desktop and mobile app.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, ideally ownership of core surface or user experience.
- Impact driven and a consistent history of delivering measurable results for both users and the business.
- Deep understanding and empathy for end-users, and a track record of building products that make customers feel joy, delight and trust.
- Build alignment and listen well, but can also drive hard decisions, framing the different options and tradeoffs.Â
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to analyze and use quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions.
- Strong communicator (written and verbal), with an ability to influence with cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Capable of diverging with partners in the Design function and converging with partners in the Engineering function.
- Expert at optimizing large scale surfaces by delivering increasing usability, customer value, and performance gains.
