The Senior Product Manager, Reporting & Insights will be responsible for critical reporting user interfaces, APIs and custom reporting solutions. You will work closely with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to bring leading-edge products to market-whether those features are analytics-first or in support of advanced mechanics driven by other Product Management teams.
This role includes working with some of our largest premium partners on both the supply and buy sides, focusing on adoption, operationalization, and feature-set evolution. We are looking for people who have a passion for building, understanding, and improving technology-paving the way for innovative breakthroughs in ad tech, and who have a strong drive toward action and results.
In this role you have:
- An ability to quickly grasp architectural relationships among various components in complex platforms
- An ability to document, operate and explain APIs to technical users (e.g. Reporting APIs)
- A deep sense of professional curiosity that promotes self-led exploration and creative problem solving
- A collaborative and consultative approach to shaping products and features that will meet the needs of a wide variety of constituents
- An ability to translate into clear technical requirements use cases captured from non-technical stakeholders
- A comfort with demanding customer-facing interactions, along with the ability to say, "no" or "not right now"
We're looking for someone with:
- BA/BS degree required or equivalent work experience in relevant discipline; post-graduate degree a plus
- 3 - 7 years' experience working in Product Management or similar function
- Experience in ad tech industry preferred
- Experience in a customer-facing, service-oriented job a plus
- Experience with a global business preferred
- Understanding of digital advertising industry, and programmatic market a plus
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to prospects/clients during sales processes
- Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organization
- Exceptional organizational skills are must
- Must pay attention to details and be able to identify problems
- Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, ability to communicate with sales, executives and clients
- Analytical and critical thinker who consistently challenges the status quo and constructively challenges themself
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to translate strategic goals into plans and actionable objectives
Technical Skills:
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google (Gmail, Calendar, Docs)
- An understanding of how systems work together in RTB (both open auction and private marketplaces), Automated Guaranteed, and Ad Serving landscapes a plus
- Familiarity with online advertising dynamics and campaign planning & buying, (specifically as related to Real Time Bidding)
- Familiarity with Demand Side Platforms, Ad Exchanges, Data Management Platforms
- Advanced knowledge of ad industry technologies including auction-based ad exchanges, ad serving, behavioral targeting, performance optimization and analytics
- Conceptual familiarity with BI Toolsets preferred (Microstrategy / Tableau / Hadoop / etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel

In California, the base salary range for this position is: $130,000 - $160,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
In Colorado, the base salary range for this position is: $110,000 - $140,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
In New York, the base salary range for this position is: $130,000 - $160,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
