Job Description

As a Senior Product Operations Manager at SmartRecruiters you will play a critical role in ensuring optimised, efficient and scaled product operations and your contribution will enable our Product Managers and teams to focus on building the best products for our customers.

You are passionate about product development and in this role you will collaborate closely with Product leadership and the broader R&D team to drive improvements, facilitate customer feedback loops, oversee the product tech stack, and support the release process. You will also work closely with colleagues in Product Marketing and Go To Market teams to ensure business alignment and consistent messaging. 

Our Project Operations Managers align with and support our product domains (i.e. groups of teams) and also support and drive central projects.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ways of Working Improvement: Iterate with teams to continually improve our ways of working e.g. to improve our overall Beta process or to optimise how we do Product Discovery. 
  • Customer Feedback Loops: Establish and maintain efficient feedback loops with customers - enabling PMs and Designers to gather, analyze, and prioritize customer feedback efficiently to inform product development decisions and improvements.
  • Release Process and Launch Coordination Support: Work closely with the Product Management and broader R&D team to support the release process. Ensure that release schedules are understood and that customers receive clear and accurate messaging about product updates and changes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success/Support, to align product operations and improve overall product performance.
  • Communication: Optimise communication by ensuring that the Product Team has the tools to communicate clearly, efficiently, and regularly with internal stakeholders with information and updates that have value and they can easily consume and reuse in their own roles.
  • Project Management: Lead a variety of cross-functional projects e.g. central projects aimed at optimizing product operations and enhancing customer experiences as well as managing a small number of key product launches within your domain.
  • Product Tech Stack Management: Oversee the product tech stack, ensuring that it is up-to-date, efficient, and aligned with the company's technology strategy. Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams on optimization opportunities. 
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of project activities, feedback, and improvements. Create regular reports to communicate progress and results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of direct experience in both product and project management within a B2B SasS environment. For example:
  • You are already in a Product Operations role and are looking for a fresh challenge or
  • You are a highly organized Product Manager who wants to move into an Operations role in order to drive change and improvements at scale
  • You are a Project Manager with a passion for product and you have worked extensively with Product Managers within a broader Product Development team
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies along with direct experience in project and product-related tooling - e.g. Productboard, Jira, UserVoice
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inspire and successfully drive change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and people at all levels - from individual contributors to senior leadership
  • Outcome-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to navigate working with complex systems and challenges (small and large)
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
