THE WORK:

  • You will oversee a team of controls staff, ensuring effective performance, professional development, and a collaborative work environment.
  • You’ll offer expert guidance in program and project controls to clients, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and best practices in the transportation sector.
  • You will work closely with client leadership to establish, refine, and implement control-related goals, objectives, policies, and procedures that support project success.
  • You’ll interpret client program data and analysis needs, translating them into technical system solutions that optimize decision-making and project delivery.
  • You will design, implement, and ensure compliance with all program control processes and procedures, maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • You’ll conduct thorough analysis of controls data, presenting findings and actionable recommendations to executive leadership to improve project performance.
  • You will guarantee the timely, accurate preparation of all controls-related reports and deliverables, adhering to client expectations and industry standards.
  • You’ll develop and maintain robust internal control systems to ensure the consistency, reliability, and accuracy of reporting across transportation projects.
  • You will serve as the primary liaison with software vendors and external users of the Project Management Information System (PMIS), ensuring seamless integration and efficient system use.
  • You’ll Create comprehensive training plans and materials for internal and client staff, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and enhancing team competency in project controls.

  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management OR
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in any course, but with additional two (2) years of experience in Construction Scheduling to compensate for the required education.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years full time paid professional experience in project and program controls specifically related to scheduling of construction projects
  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience using Primavera 15.1

  • Superior organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and port staff
  • Experience working on multiple public works projects
  • Experience with 3rdparty utility and demolition
